Bioeffectives were first isolated in the St Petersburg Techniqual Forest Academy, Russia. After the break up of the USSR, in one of the first intellectual transfers of that type, rights were acquired by Australian company Solagran Limted in 1995.  Solagran was re-named Prenolica in 2016 (www.prenolica.com).
